Samsung is unveiling its much-awaited flagship, the Galaxy S8 While, the iPhone 7 Plus is undoubtedly Apple’s best device to date. Samsung And Apple are undoubtedly the giants in the smartphone industry and are always facing tough competitions on their respective devices.
Samsung Galaxy S8: Design, Specs, And Features
The Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch QHD and Super AMOLED display and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Samsung also announced that the new smartphone is the first to be certified by the UHD Alliance as Mobile HDR Premium.
The Galaxy S8 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC in the US, and most international markets will be powered by the Exynos 8895 SoC. Both the handsets packed with 4GB of RAM and with 64GB inbuilt storage, supporting expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB). Also, the Galaxy S8 will come with a set of pre-installed apps that will work with Bixby. Interestingly, Samsung also finally introduced its Microsoft Continuum-like feature, the Samsung DeX.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus: Design, Specs, And Features
Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by quad-core Apple A10 Fusion processor, equipped with 3GB of RAM and comes with 32GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. As for as the cameras, The biggest change to Apple’s top iPhone is its photographic redesign. The iPhone 7 Plus added two stunning 12-megapixel cameras, one wide-angle and one telephoto which delivers a 2x optical zoom.
The Apple iPhone 7 Plus runs iOS 10 and under the hood is 2900mAh non-removable. Moreover, Apple’s Siri has been around since 2011 and has become more useful over time. Also, Apple is not short of accessories, from gimbals and connected baby monitors, to macro camera lenses and robotic balls, the biggest iPhone has a lot of bases covered.
The iPhone 7 is one of the best smartphones in the world, however, while the Galaxy S8 has a larger, sharper and better screen, a very different but similarly premium, design, and a probably higher price tag. Differences in the camera and performance may be harder to spot. However, going purely by specs, the Samsung Galaxy S8 looks to be more powerful phone and you may have to pay for a towering price to get it.
