Good news – the Kinda Blue Pixel 2 is now available inside the Google Play Store
After months of exclusivity with Verizon, the Kinda Blue Pixel 2 is now readily available via Google Play as well as on Google’s Project Fi initiative.
The Kinda Blue Pixel 2 is only available in one storage option (64GB) though users interested in the phone can now buy it unlocked and pick and choose what carrier they use.
This is easily my favourite color option for Google’s new Pixel 2 range. I have the standard black model, the Pixel 2 XL, and while I do really love the phone, I do wish it was Kinda Blue, as it just looks more interesting.
The Pixel 2 features a 5in 1080p display, rocks a Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM, and DOES NOT feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. You also have an Always-on Display, a squeezable frame for launching the Google Assistant, and IP67 water and dust resistance.
Both phones are great, though my personal preference would ALWAYS be the XL model. It’s bigger, has a better display, and generally looks and feels more like a flagship phone.
However, if you’re after something more portable, the Pixel 2 is still a very good option with the only major disparity being the display (1080p vs QHD). Everything else – including the specs and camera tech – are identical.
Google has also reduced the price of the Pixel 2 in the UK as well – you can now pick one up for £499, which is saving of £130.
